There are 3 key Areas

that teens struggle in...

At Maverick Movement, we believe every child has good character traits in them... even if they may not realise it.

Which is why I created this movement — to help youths build their character so they become more resilient and have greater self-esteem.

Here are 3 key areas teens usually struggle with:

Learning Gaps:

The jump from primary school to secondary school can be overwhelming—9 subjects instead of 4, How can you help your tween manage their workload while also giving them the mental and emotional support they need so that they excel?

Relationship Gaps

Believe it or not, teens today are dating much earlier than you might think. Some of my youths have shared that their peers are already dating and sexually active by age 14. It’s happening earlier and earlier—so how can you, as a parent, prepare them?

Emotional Wellbeing

This is the age when they start figuring out who they are and which social groups they fit into. How do you ensure that they mix with the right group of people and be positively influenced, or influence others in a good way?

Learn how you can support your teens to close these 3 gaps so that they excel in their secondary school years...

About The Speaker

Matthew Zachary Liu

isn't your everyday life coach. Born to a Korean mother and a Singaporean father, he navigated high societal expectations. His transformative journey began in secondary school when a teacher recognised his gift for communication, which set him on a path to pursue communications in polytechnic, university and achieving career success.

With a background in media, a stint as an educator, and a passion for challenging norms, Matt advocates for a shift in the education system to include a broader perspective on success and failure, focusing on the importance of mental well being, character building and personal development for students to thrive in their lives and future.

As a life coach, he guides youth on their journey, one that is not defined by circumstances but the choices we make and the steps we take.

By providing necessary guidance and support during their teenage years, Matt aims to spare them the hardships of learning through trial and error. He emphasises the need for parents to connect emotionally with their children, redefining success to prioritise happiness as a shared goal.

Matthew Zachary Liu's effort with the next generation have been commended publicly by former Speaker of Parliament, Tan Chuan Jin and former Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Grace Fu.
